my current research interests lie at the intersection of biophysics and computational biology, specifically in utilizing DNA origami devices to unearth fundamental insight about the molecular machinery at work in our bodies. i am also training in operating microscopes, including the scanning electron microscope (SEM), atomic force microscope (AFM), and TIRF microscope to be able to quantitatively describe nanoscale interactions. there is a lot we don't currently know about exactly how fundamental biology works to keep us alive each day, so there is lots to discover!
